M - CURVE
Consumers today want their products to be multi functional. This was the driving idea behind the M-Curve. The "M" stands for modular. This unique coffee table can transform in a few different ways. The 45 degree edges allow for a perfect fit every time. If you look at the build process page. The very last photo shows how I inlayed magnets to ensure a flush connection. The two pieces can be separated and used as night stands in the bedroom or even end tables in the living room.
ZERO - G
This foyer table was a one of my favorite projects. It was inspired buy zero - g gravity in space. The acrylic ring represents the space on which the floating shelves sit on. The cost of the acrylic ring was very high. So I decided to build the table out of wood and covered it with walnut and brush aluminum vaneers. By doing so, I was able to make it match the M - Curve and complete my first collection. The process of building this was challenging but very beneficial in learning how things will be built as I am designing. This allows the design and engineering teams to work seamlessly. The last four images are other concept ideas and material studies.
FASSATO
Fassato is the Italian word for " moat ". This tiny home project was super fun to design and build. I love working in 3d modeling and then actually building my designs. This concept consists of three 40ft shipping containers. I have always been fascinated by moats and how they've been used throughout history to protect castles and other precious cities. The moat/pool provides extra security to this modern home. I also incorporate a solar shade to power the entire house and a wooden art structure to give the house its own unique look and character.
OBEY
These are some quick and fun concepts I did for OBEY. I love to experiment with lots of different materials and incorporate brands logos into my pieces.
KIOSK
The goal of the Design Faktion kiosks was to onboard new inventors and vendors. With a small team and thousands of visitors it would be impossible to sign everyone up manually. So the self service kiosk takes you through the on-boarding process automatically. Increasing users and sales. I also added some concept floor plans. Notice where the kiosks are located. It's all about traffic flow.
TEADROP
This bench was designed to replace the out of date benches on the Huntington Beach pier. The name comes from its teardrop shaped concrete base. This is another multifunctional piece. This bench also has a bike rack on the back and pole holders to enjoy fishing from the pier.
